When painting with aerosols, I sometimes use stencils, which I cut out of poster board or card stock paper, into more or less abstract shapes. I hold the stencil against the surface, and then spray the paint over/around it. The images in the painting are “built up” by using the small stencil cut-outs over and over again, which give the painting a “cubist” look. Some edges in the painting are very sharp, and others are misty and blurry. I like this contrast.
