Inspired by the wild horses I saw while kayaking the Salt River in Mesa Arizona, I painted an homage on the hood of my ’92 Nissan Pathfinder. This turned out to be a two-year project, working on and off. I never felt satisfied with it, and believe this was due, in part, to working on a horizontal (as opposed to a vertical) surface. The painting looked distorted in most every direction. The best view however, was that of the cashier at the Burger King drive-through.
